New Years Intention Mandala Workshop...

This past Sunday we facilitated the New Years Intention Mandala  Workshop.   After cleaning and re organizing the studio for a week prior to the workshop, I was pleased when all 15 participants fitted so comfortably in the space.  The dreary, cloudy day was Illuminated by our sense of shared community and the deeply soothing and engaging process of creating mandalas.  Even the parking of all the cars, (another detail that worried me pre workshop) went smoothly and without a hitch.

The art work that emerged was stunning, and although most of us didn't finish our mandala's, they were all well on there way to completion by days end.  Here are some photos of the studio, process and mandala's that emerged that day.

"The world is but a canvas to the imagination."  Thoreau

"We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled.  The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful out."  Ray Bradbury

"Your life is the manifestation of your dream; it is an art.  And you can change your life anytime if your aren't enjoing the dream. Dream masters create a masterpiece of life; they control the dream by making
choices."  Don MIguel Ruiz

" A man's work is nothing but the slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whosae presence his heart first opened."  Albert Camus

I inclination not acquiesce in on it. I think warm-hearted post. Particularly the title-deed attracted me to be familiar with the intact story.

Yes it is amazing that all these are drawn free hand. I love to look at computer mandala's, but the process of focusing and being connected with eye, hand and heart in the moment, with intention, connects us to the true power of creating mandala's, which is mindfulness, being in the moment and bringing hand and heart together moment by moment. Draw mandalas!!!!!
