My New Line of Wearable Fine Art Pendants

I have been making beaded jewelry for years..and usually start way in advance of the holidays making it.  Along with my ethnic inspired earrings, necklaces and bracelets.  I have started to create a line of Fine Art Wearable Pendants, that use my own art as well as images that inspire me.

 I have been having soo much fun, I love making multiples of things. 

 The process is extremely self soothing to me...

and so I have been getting happier and happier 

                                                 making a whole new line of jewelry.

                                                   using  my own art  as well as

                                              vintage images I fall in love with

 this is a reduction of an original encaustic painting of mine..

    As is this a crop of the Buddha in blue, another on of my encaustic mixed media pieces

Aren't this lovely.  I just love seeing the possibilities...

So now that I have made soooo many of these pendants...this isn't even a 1/8 of the amount.  I think I have mad about 80 pendants so far.  I have to do something with them.. Send them off to new homes, to grace the hearts of others.  I have posted some of these on my etsy store

But... I am having an open studio  with all of my jewelry and art along with 2  artist friends of mine...Susan Adler...who does such vibrant paintings, they take my  breath away. And print maker Rob Duncan, whose work is stunning.

Sacred Circle Art - Illuminated Mandala's by Caterina Martinico & Patricia Waters

I am very pleased  to announce that  we are finally going to be able to show many of our Illuminated Mandala's in an art show here in Sonoma County.  Myself and Patricia Waters,  my co-facilitator in the Illuminated Mandala Process, will be having a show of our Mandala's at the Journey Center, in Santa Rosa, CA.  The opening will be on Friday January 8th from 5-7.  We will be showing many of our Mandala drawings through the months of July and August.    We would love for you to stop by for the opening if you are in the area.

Art at the Source Open Studio- First Weekend

I am finally rested after the first weekend of the Art at the Source Open Studio Tour.
It was exciting to have people come see and respond to my art, but the set up and prelude to getting it all together was rather exhausting.
Many old friends and new, past students, art therapy colleagues and wandering art lovers and seekers, came through during the weekend.

The experience   was exhilerating and inspiring.  And although the economy is slow, I did make some sales the first weekend and got lots of positive responses to my work.  

The gardens at Paulas property, where it was held in Sebastopol, on the edge of vineyards and apple orchards were exquisite, as were her stunning plein aire paintings.  And I could look for hours at Mylette Welch's colorful and quirky dog paintings.  If you are in Sonoma County next weekend, come on out and say hello.  For a map and information regarding the show see the
